We sold this gangway system to Cliff in Illinois. He had a very nice floating dock but needed to replace his gangway. The gangway was 24’ long and 4’ wide with a live load capacity of 1,500 lbs. Cliff also ordered some additional cross bracing that would reinforce the gangway and allow him to use a certain bamboo decking. The system was installed on a lake in southern Illinois.
Cliff assembled the entire gangway in his garage and driveway. He moved it out and set it in place before attaching the decking. Two people can easily handle the lightweight aluminum design before the decking is installed. He anchored the gangway to the shore using the supplied seawall connectors. The gangway rolled on the dock with supplied rollers. Once the gangway was in place and bolted to the shore, Cliff attached his bamboo decking. The entire process took Cliff just under 11 hours to complete.
