We sold this bridge system to Brian for a lake in Oklahoma. He had a large creek running through his property which floods regularly. He wanted to find a way that would allow him to retain access even during adverse weather conditions. The bridge he purchased was 48’ long and 4’ wide with a live load capacity of 1,500 lbs. and a snow load capacity of 5 lbs./sq.ft.
Brian started off by building up two raised platforms using railroad ties to ensure that the bridge would never be underwater during a flood. Brian and his friends drove the parts out to the bridge site in their truck and began the assembly process. The assembly went smoothly for the group and they were soon ready to lift the bridge and set it in place across the creek. They then installed treated plywood as decking to finish up the project. Brian was very pleased with the bridge and had several neighbors interested in installing a similar bridge on their property.
