Columbia River Aluminum Gangway & Floating Dock

We sold this aluminum dock and aluminum gangway system to Darren in Washington. His order included an 8×20’ Truss Dock and a 4×20’ gangway. Darren hired a local contracting company out of Portland, Oregon to install his dock system. Redland Construction, LLC came up with some ingenious ideas to stabilize the dock against heavy wave action from freight ships hauling up and down the Columbia River. RollingBarge provided the gangway, dock and dock rollers and Redland Construction built the stiff-arms and shore anchoring system.

One of the great things about RollingBarge products is that they are all built out of 6061-T6 aluminum. Galvanized metals cannot be drilled or customized because they will begin to rust at the location where the galvanic barrier was broken. 6061-T6 aluminum is just as strong as steel but can be drilled or screwed into anywhere without risking corrosion. This is due to the metal being naturally corrosion resistant and needing no additional barrier to protect it from the elements.
