Aluminum
All Rolling Barge products are engineered using Aluminum. It’s as strong as milled steel, weighs less than wood and does not rust. We use 6061 T6 Aluminum, the same grade of Aluminum used in Jumbo Jets and other aircraft. And all of the fasteners are aluminum including 2024 Anodized Aluminum bolts that are stronger than stainless steel.
Plastic Barrels
Used Barrels are a fantastic flotation device and are the only way you can float a Rolling Barge product. They are brutishly strong and each barrel provides 450 pounds of buoyancy. In 8 years we’ve had to replace exactly 1 barrel due to leakage. And…they cost next to nothing.
Environmentally Friendly
Did you know that 85% of all milled aluminum is recycled? If you couple that with the fact that our flotation system is entirely made up of recycled 55 gallon plastic barrels, you not only have a smart use of materials, but a very environmentally sound one.
